Our Second Annual Block Party

Emma THOROUGHLY enjoyed the face painting!
Which, well...turned into body painting once the elementary school girls of the neighborhood took over. Well, Uncle Matt, immitation IS the sincerest form of flattery:)
And Bub...FINALLY warmed up to the moon walk!

The first thing Emma does when she gets into the classroom is to wash her hands!
Emma pretends to drive the large firetruck on the school's playground. Hooray! She completed her first day and had a WONDERFUL time!

Two Visits to the Lighthouse!

Two shorts: the trip and the kids. Who knew you had to be a certain height to climb to the top?

Brad visited again with Grampa, Owen, Robyn, and Laura...and oh the view!
Rumor has it--this thing was actually moved further inland just recently.

While The Cat's Away...

While Brad, Josh, Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the Wright Brothers Memorial, a group of us headed off to the outlets...(with only receipts to show for it :)

But then there was...Ocracoke.

Note: The smiles and perceived enjoyment were due to the trip home:) And ahhh yes, the nice BREEZE from the ferry ride!
